This Request for Proposals (the “RFP”) is an invitation by SaskTel to prospective Suppliers to submit proposals for the provision of a Transmission Telephone Pole pre-qualification list for SaskTel-s Aurora Program. (the “Deliverables”): Aurora Program SaskTel is committed to expand its fibre optical services to several communities in NORTHERN Saskatchewan. The Aurora Program is an expedited, and complimentary, version of SaskTel-s existing FTTx Program which has placed fibre throughout the province over the past decade. For SaskTel to expand its fibre optic network to these northern communities, we must develop a fibre transport/backhaul network. In order to complete this transport network, we are seeking vendors to build the aerial, transmission transport line, which includes: - Place 35 and 40 ft transmission poles along SK Highway 106 - Place approximately 1000 poles along roadway - Poles to be placed by rocksets, within muskeg, or other terrain along that highway - Providing experience personnel to complete this work in the timelines outlined by SaskTel The Aurora Program is currently underway and all construction is required to be completed by December 31, 2026. The transmission pole placement construction needs to be completed well in advance of this final program completion date and will be critical to the small community fibre construction. Transmission telephone line Suppliers must understand that construction completion is of the essence. This RFP is to contract Suppliers under a Master Services Agreement which will pre-qualify vendors for work as job packages are finalized. Please note that COR/SECOR certification is a requirement for this competition.
