The Government of Brazil is requalifying the entireBrazilian identification process. The CIN project aims to strengthen andmodernize the country-s civil identification mechanism. The goal is tocontinuously improve the provision of public and private services, reducingfraud and costs to society, establishing trust, and ensuring the integrity ofidentification data. In this context, the aim is to create national governancethat is consistent with federal arrangements, as well as a digital publicinfrastructure for secure identification in the digital environment, refrainingfrom the GOV.BR platform authentication system and the federal government'ssingle sign-on login, with inclusive access to public and private services, inthis way, provide reliability to society, including for issues of cybersecurityand data protection. The aim is to offer an inclusive National CivilIdentification System that protects rights and allows easy and secure access toservices and opportunities. The project has 13 specific objectives: 1.Integrate the 27 Identification Agencies of the Federative Units into the newNational Civil Identification System for issuing the National Identity Card -CIN into a single index number, Brazilian CPF; 2. Connect the documental lifecycle of the natural person, birth and death certificates, and civil records; 3.Mitigate the exchange and kidnapping of children; 4. Mitigate fraud againstpublic funds due to undue payments; 5. Mitigate fraud in private services; 6.Establish family ties safely; 7. Create a national civil identificationstrategy; 8. Facilitate citizen access to government programs by simplifyingand offering structured services; 9. Reduce the average service time and costof public and private services; 10. Increase the levels of transparency, participation, and access of the population to the public policies of theFederal Government; 11.
