The aim of the research project is to evaluate the interdisciplinary use potential of generation services and storage capacities for the network services of public networks while maintaining the security of the transport infrastructure.
Description
Net greenhouse gas neutrality is to be achieved in Germany by 2045. However, increased feed-in by volatile energy generation systems such as wind and photovoltaic systems (PV) places increased requirements for the public power grid with regard to network stability and quality. The traffic sector or the transport infrastructure can contribute to greenhouse gas neutrality through increased use of renewable energies (EE) and theoretically make a contribution to network stabilization through a variety of decentralized generation systems. This study examines the extent to which these systems can be used by the modes of transport for general network services (e.g. control services).
