Description

Notice of intent to negotiate a sole-source contract. Purpose is to retrofit, install, and program Siemens PLC governor controllers. The Colorado River Agency (CRA) possesses Siemens brand governor controllers for its hydroelectric dam near Parker, Arizona. The Siemens controllers aren't functioning properly and require immediate repair as the hydroelectric dams provide electricity to the CRIT Reservation. Summer months require peak electricity usage due to extreme heat during these months. Siemens Industry Inc. owns proprietary information, diagnostic software, programming software, and all related OEM technology required to retrofit CRA's Siemens brand governor controllers. Solicitation is not available and technical questions won't be answered. If any firm believes the agency should not pursue this procurement, it may submit a capability statement and pricing information by 3/7/2024, 9:00 a.m. MS time.
