No contract will be awarded as a result of this Sources Sought announcement. The United States Geological Survey, Office of Acquisition and Grants is soliciting information from qualified sources; the results of this announcement will be evaluated to determine if there are businesses capable of performing the proposed work. The US Geological Survey, Office of Acquisition and Grants seeks responses from vendors that possess highly specialized knowledge, expertise, and experience in all aspects of land-based seismic acquisition, and in the processing and interpretation of active and passive source seismic data at the small basin scale, specific to Lake Iceberg, Alaska and the surrounding southern region of Alaska. Vendors must possess the capability to process, analyze, and interpret active and passive source seismic data to create a comprehensive database that catalogues and characterizes Quaternary-active faults and related ground shaking/failure throughout the entire southern margin of Alaska. The vendor will 1) process and interpret p-wave seismic reflection data from the active source seismic profiles from Iceberg Lake, Alaska 2) provide shear wave velocity profiles derived from surface waves measured along these profiles, and 3) provide frequency analysis of data from three-component seismic nodes installed throughout the region. Data analysis aims to assess soil properties, geologic structure, depth to bedrock; and to produce spectral ratios that highlight ground-shaking frequencies related to underlying soil and rock properties. All responsible sources may submit a capability statement, which shall be considered by the Government. The information received in response to this notice will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct a competitive procure...
