With this RFI Yle invites interested suppliers to participate in the market dialogue held prior publishing the call for tenders (RFQ). Supplier should provide real-time graphics solutions in following areas: a) On screen, i.e. “lower third” graphics b) Full screen graphics c) Background videowall graphics d) Virtual-, augmented- and extended reality graphics (VR, AR, xR) Parts a, b, c and d can be offered as a single solution or independently of each other. In case of independent solutions, a recommendation of compatible other solutions would be appreciated. The offered solution for parts a, b, c or d should be capable of Yle-s production environment. The entirety of it consists of 12 tv studios, 3 OB trucks, 1 playout centre and roughly dozen cloud live streaming units. Current graphic device count is roughly 200 devices, 50 real-time rendering servers and 6 non linear editing (NLE) rendering servers. Content filling clients have around 1300 installations. The solution should be a ready-made product and already in similar production use. Please see more detailed description in the document "RFI Real-time Graphics System". At this point Yle is looking to identify the solutions available in the market that could meet Yle-s needs. It is possible that there will be round 2 of RFI before publishing the final request for proposals (RFP).
