The Alberni-Clayoquot Regional District (ACRD) invites proposals from consultants with expertise in agricultural emergency planning and food systems engagement. The selected consultant will conduct a comprehensive two-phase project focusing on food security and agricultural emergency planning across the ACRD. Phase One involves creating a livestock emergency plan for the Alberni Valley and assessing food security challenges in densely populated areas, including Port Alberni. Phase Two will define food security needs for the West Coast electoral areas and engage with First Nations and municipalities such as Tofino and Ucluelet.
