SFU Library currently hosts an Islandora 7-based repository, Digital Collections, that it is seeking to upgrade to Islandora 2. Additional content from a second Islandora 7-based repository, SFU Digitized Newspapers, will also be moved to Digital Collections and decommissioned. SFU intends to host the new Digital Collections repository on premises, in the SFU Cloud, which is provided by SFU IT Services. The new Islandora 2 repository will house approximately 500, 000 objects (including newspaper pages) in approximately 70 collections.The successful proponent will be responsible for: Migrating the content from the existing https://digital.lib.sfu.ca (and selected content from https://newspapers.lib.sfu.ca) into the new Digital Collections repository The Drupal field-level metadata for items in this repository is in collection-specific spreadsheets prepared by SFU Library staff. Sample metadata for 9 of the collections to be migrated is available. The binary content files will be migrated from https://digital.lib.sfu.ca over HTTP. All metadata and binary files for content from SFU Digitized Newspapers will be provided to the vendor separately.
