Summary:George Mason University (Mason) is seeking to solicit pre-qualifications to establish contract(s) with qualified Class A General Contractors that are Virginia Department of Small Business and Supplier Diversity (SBSD) certified. This includes discretionary spending in prime contracts and subcontracts. Where it is practicable for any portion of the awarded contract to be subcontracted to other suppliers, the Contractor is encouraged to offer such subcontracting opportunities to SBSD-Certified Micro & Small Businesses when they have received SBSD Certification. If micro or small business subcontractors are used, the Prime Contractor agrees to report, on a project basis, as well as a quarterly basis, the use of micro and small business subcontractors by providing Mason, at a minimum, the following information: name of micro or small business with the SBSD certification number, phone number, total dollar amount subcontracted, category type (micro, small, women-owned, or minority-owned), and type of product/service provided.
