Purpose of Document The Department of Health (DOH) is currently in the process of assessing hospitals for Centers of Excellence (COEs) designation in medical and surgical specialties and is looking for Subject Matter Experts (SMEs) to support the evaluation of the hospitals. This document sets outthe scope and requirements with regards to the support needed in the evaluation of the proposals received by DOH from hospitals in Abu Dhabi. This RFQ is issued solely for information and planning purposes and does not constitute a solicitation by the Department of Health. Background Centers ofExcellence (COEs) are healthcare facilities that are designated by DoH to provide specialized programs in particular medical areas in line with best practices and highest quality standards. CoEs stand out with their world-class infrastructure, highly skilled and internationally accredited workforce, multidisciplinary resources, cutting-edge technologies and latest healthcare innovations, and clinical and scientific research while delivering best-in-class healthcare to patients in the emirate and beyond. The potential hospital will be assessed against the detailed service line specific standardalong with the general COE requirements published on the DOH website to qualify as a "Center of Excellence in the specialty. The standard is in line with international best practices and details the necessary infrastructural requirements, key performance indicators, service specifications, internationalaccreditation requirements and eligibility criteria to be designated as COE in Abu Dhabi.
