This is a Sources Sought notice Only. This is NOT a solicitation for proposals, proposal abstracts, or quotations. This Sources Sought is issued for information and planning purposes only as part of USDA ARS market research and does not itself constitute an RFQ.

Background

The USDA, ARS, Floral and Nursery Plant Research Unit in Beltsville, MD requires RNA sequencing services, to include: RNA QC, Illumina RNA library preparation with QC Illumina RNA sequencing, and data analysis. This sequencing data will be used for ongoing research in developing disease resistance in boxwood varieties.

Requirements

RNA purification/clean-up with QC and quality report. Quantity - 252 samples Illumina NovaSeq RNA Library preparation with QC and size selection. Quantity - 252 samples Illumina NovaSeq RNA sequencing, 2x150bp, 50x genome coverage per sample, 50 million paired-end reads per sample. Quantity - 252 samples RNA sequencing data analysis package including differential expression, trimming, mapping, alternative splicing, and gene ontology. FASTQ files delivered to ARS2.0 Place of Delivery

The Contractor shall provide documentation of quality checks on RNA, library, FASTQ sequencing

files, and complete analysis results to the USDA, ARS, USNA, Floral and Nursery Plant Research Unit,

10300 Baltimore Ave, Beltsville, MD 20705 within ninety (90) days after the receipt of the purchase

order.
