The overallobjective is to develop a phased roadmap that enables the Government of Eswatini to modernize itsCR/ID system, ensuring it becomes more inclusive, secure, and interoperablewith key sectors such as social protection and financial services. Specificobjectives include:Foundational aspects: Modernize the NPR to ensure inclusivity, accuracy, and security.Social protection use case: Integrate the NPR with the social registry to better target social protection programs and improve the delivery of services to vulnerable populations.Financial sector use case (e-KYC): Develop the infrastructure and processes to enable financial institutions to leverage the NPR for cost-effective identity verification.The projectwill be divided into three main phases: Phase I (Digital ReadinessAssessment), Phase II (Roadmap Development) and Phase III(Validation of Findings and Roadmap). Each phase will address the foundationalaspects, social protection integration, and e-KYC for the financial sector.
