Expression of Interest are invited for Romania Traceability Ras Study 1: Diagnostic Analysis of Romanias Agri-Food Traceability, Integrity and Risk Management Systems
The World Bank is engaged in a technical assistance program to provide support to the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development of Romania to strengthen agri-food product traceability system.
One of the studies to be prepared under the above-mentioned program is a diagnostic analysis of the gaps and opportunities to improve the functioning and efficiency of the Romanian agri-food traceability, food integrity and risk management systems.
The study will need to identify options for modernizing Romania food safety and develop agri-food traceability capacity with the objective to help MARD: (i) improve the effectiveness of the food safety management, and reduce cost of compliance for businesses, (ii) identify the most efficient and effective measures to promote transparency in the production and marketing of agri-food products in Romania, (iii) increase visibility and attractiveness of Romanian agricultural products on the EU and international markets, (iv) prepare for implementation of the Farm to Fork Strategy in the EU and promote the development of an effective agri-food traceability, integrity and risk management systems in Romania in the context of food policy strengthening process at the EU level.
