Ronald McDonald House Charities-SK provides a home to families from across Saskatchewan when they must leave their homes for medical treatment of a child. The homes provide a familial setting to prepare food, have a safe place to sleep and meet others in similar situations. This provides a supportive network to help guide families through challenging times.RMHC - SK is a non-profit organization receiving support from across the province through donations of food, clothing, construction materials and other gifts to support the ongoing operation.The current Ronald McDonald house in Saskatoon meets this need for almost 1, 800 families every year. The need to expand services to other cities within the province will help to keep families closer to their homes, provide jobs for people in the community and provide opportunities for volunteers to work in a supportive environment.
