The subject of procurement is the service of satellite data transmission with intervention maintenance and user support of the network for satellite data transmission through the IRIDIUM satellite communication network for the needs of the satellite monitoring system of fishing vessels (VMS) and data transmission from electronic recordska, all in accordance with the detailed description from the Project Terms of Reference and the Cost Sheet, which are an integral part of this Procurement Documentation.
IRIDIUM is a type of satellite communication network that is used for data transmission in areas where data transmission via terrestrial communication networks is not possible due to lack of coverageabsence or weak signal coverage. Inside the VMS device for satellite tracking of fishing vessels is installed a modem that functions exclusively through the IRIDIUM satellite network.
