As a Commonwealth Government Agency, the Treasury is required to adhere to the Protective Security Policy Framework (PSPF) in the implementation of risk management strategies, to ensure the safety, and security of its people, information and property. The Treasury contracts a security service provider for the provision of Security Guarding Services (Services) as part of this strategy. The Treasury requires the Services in its Canberra (the Treasury Building, Langton Crescent, Parkes), Melbourne (Levels 7 and 16, 530 Collins Street), Sydney (Levels 23 and 29, 201 Kent Street) and Perth (Level 5, 255 St George Terrace) locations. The Services for Canberra are 24 hour x 7 days per week, and for the other sites business hours Monday to Friday. The Services include : a) supervisor services, b) on-site receptionist services, c) static and roving guarding patrol services, d) on-site monitoring of security systems and alarm response, e) pass management, andf) control room operationsg) mail handling, h) audits of security related equipment and systems, i) occasional receipt and dispatch of packages at the reception points, andj) ad-hoc duties, as required by Treasury.
