Tenders are invited for Service Provider for Study Tour on Decarbonization of Garment and Textile Factories in Vietnam
Set up in 1976, Geres is an international development NGO which works to improve the living conditions of the
poorest and tackle climate change and its impacts and started operations in Cambodia in 1994. As a grassroots
actor, the energy transition is a major lever in all its actions. In order to drive societal change, Geres
promotes the development and dissemination of innovative and local solutions, supports climate-energy
policies and actions and encourages everyone to commit to Climate Solidarity by acting and supporting vulnerable
populations and industry stakeholders.
In the context of climate change, strong pressure on Cambodian forest areas and natural resources, as well as long-
lasting and new challenges to the Cambodian Garment Industry, Geres is co-
impiementing a project related to the promotion of sustainable energy practices in the garment sector in Cambodia,
Switch Garment, in consortium with The Global Green Growth Institute (GGGI) and the Travel Apparel
Footwear and Travel Goods Association of Cambodia (TAFTAC). The objective of this project funded by EU
SWITCH-Asia is to increase the competitiveness and decrease the environmental impact of the Cambodian garment
industry through sustainable production.
Geres is looking for a contractor (single entity - firm or individual) to carry out the activities outlined in these
terms of reference.
Activities to carry-out:
• Conduct field visits, workshops, and stakeholder meetings.
• Arrange logistic arrangements for the entire study tour, from Cambodia (Phnom Penh).
