Description : The COVID-19 pandemic has significantly impacted many sectors of the economy and the tourism sector has been particularly affected. During the recovery period of the tourism industry, the Department of Tourism (DOT)-s Domestic Tourism Program identified Farm Tourism as one of the niche markets for development and promotion, along with Culinary Tourism; thus, Farm Tourism is considered a priority product offering for domestic travelers.
To help the sector bounce back from the impact of the pandemic, the DOT has been taking steps to continue strengthening farm tourism development in the country amid the pandemic through a wide range of information campaigns involving media and public relations. In order to further impart awareness of Farm Tourism for business development and service standards enhancement, the DOT will conduct a Farm Tourism Summit and Trade Fair, set for implementation on December 1-5, 2022 in Clark, Pampanga.
