SHIP REPAIRREQUEST FOR QUOTEINTRODUCTIONThis is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations/proposals are being requested and a separate written solicitation will not be issued. This solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular (FAC) 2024-02, effective 01/22/2024. This acquisition is available for full and open competition. DESCRIPTIONThe US Geological Survey, Alaska Science Center, requires Ship Repair Services as described in the attached Statement of Work. Note that the Ship, R/V Alaskan Gyre, is located in Homer, AK, which is where all repair services will take place.SUBMISSION OF PROPOSALSAll services will be performed at the vendor facilities. The Ship is located at the Northern Enterprises Boat Yard in Homer, AK and is available for viewing at any time.RELEVENT INFORMATIONThe North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code 336611 (Ship Building and Repairing), and associated size standard of 1, 300 employees applies to this announcement, along with Product Service Code J019 (Maintain/Repair/Rebuild of Equipment - Ships and Marine).All questions must be sent directly to capplegate@usgs.gov by 02/13/2024 at 1200 PST.
