Expression of Interest are invited for Socioeconomic Assessment of Coal Regions in Kosovo and North Macedonia
The World Bank is seeking consulting services to conduct a socioeconomic assessment to inform transition planning in coal communities in Pelagonia and Southwest Regions in North Macedonia and Obiliq and Fushe Kosova municipalities in Kosovo.
The goal of the Assessment is 1) to assess the socio-economic consequences (risks and opportunities) of transitioning out of coal for the communities directly and indirectly affected and 2) to inform the design of local transition plans- that is, plans that addresses the distributional impacts while seizing the development opportunities for the affected communities.
