Description : The Commission is considering the establishment of solar generation facilities within its right-of-way territories. This endeavor aims to meet the Commission's electrical consumption at the designated meters and supply surplus capacity to the electric distribution system, thereby fostering the proliferation of Renewable Energy sources in Pennsylvania under various Net Energy Metering programs. This RFI is issued with the intent to gather responses from individual firms, teams, or other entities with experience in:(1) Developing solar energy solutions that align with the objectives delineated in this RFI;(2) Designing, building, financing, operating, and maintaining ground-mount commercial and industrial solar energy systems;(3) Enabling energy delivery through an on-site PPA for solar energy systems for commercial and industrial clients;(4) Concurrently setting up multiple solar energy systems on separate meters for a single commercial or industrial customer; and(5) Developing solar energy systems on real estate along rights-of-way.
