Description
Product Manager, Soldier Protective Equipment (PdM SPE) Head Protection Team is excited to host a helmet, hearing protection, and communication industry day near Fort Belvoir, Virgina, on Thursday, December 7th 2023. Industry partners capable of meeting Next Generation Integrated Head Protection System ballistic requirements along with hearing protection and communication partners are encouraged to attend.
The briefings will start with the Maneuver Capability Development Integration Directorate (MCDID) discussing current and anticipated future requirements relating to head protection and communications. Next, PEO Soldier will discuss current helmet systems and desired integration points of hearing protection and communications along with the limitations of current solutions. Finally, MilTech will provide a short overview of their research and development efforts related to this topic.
Of note, PEO Soldier-s Integrated Visual Augmentation System will also be hosting an industry day at the same location on the same day should vendors be interested.
Attendees must provide the names, addresses, titles, contact information (including email address), and citizenship status no later than 1600, Thursday, 16 November 2023. Attendance is limited to three (3) representatives per company due to space limitations. Participating companies shall also indicate their desire to have a one-on-one session with Government representatives in the afternoon. A schedule with assigned times will be provided to each participant prior to the meeting date. Participant information shall be forwarded electronically to the following individuals:
