In accordance with Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) FAR 5.201(e) and 15.201(e), the Government is issuing this Sources Sought announcement as part of market research.

The Government is issuing this Sources Sought Notice as part of market research for Outboard Connectors for Sonar Equipment at the Naval Surface Warfare Center, Crane Division, (NSWC Crane) located at Naval Support Activity (NSA), Crane, Indiana. This Sources Sought Notice is for the purpose of identifying industry sources capable of producing these connectors and receptacles. These items are necessary for NSWC Crane to complete tasking from NAVSEA, NAVSUP and NUWC Newport to fabricate various cable assemblies used on acoustic sensor equipment for surface ships and submarines.

BACKGROUND

The connectors and cable assemblies being procured will be used to complete more than fifty (50) different types of outboard submarine and surface ship sonar cable assemblies. These connectors will be used for the AN/SQS-53C, OK-542, OA-9070 and AN/BQQ-10 systems to provide electrical connections between the outboard sensors and the inboard electronics cabinets.

REQUESTED INFORMATION

NSWC Crane requests information regarding industry-s capability to provide the necessary equipment, facilities, resources, management and labor by qualified personnel to fabricate, assemble, inspect, test and deliver the items identified in the SOW and applicable drawings. The Government anticipates that manufacturers shall be a qualified supplier of these items and listed on the Submarine Maintenance Engineering, Planning and Procurement (SUBMEPP) list of Qualified Manufacturers OR be required to successfully complete first article testing.
