This notice does not constitute a commitment by the Government. All information submitted in response to this announcement is voluntary, and the Government will not pay for information requested nor will it compensate any respondent for any cost incurred in developing information provided to the Government. The United States Army Health Contracting Activity, Medical Readiness Contracting Office - West, at JBSA Fort Sam Houston, Texas, is requesting information and conducting market research to identify and determine if there are potential sources which have the capabilities to provide the requirements specified herein.



As part of its market research, MRCO-W is issuing this Sources Sought to determine if there exists an adequate number of qualified interested contractors capable of providing rental of negative pressure wound therapy (NPWT or “wound vac”) equipment that meets or exceeds all salient characteristics identified below:

Touch Screen Menu Simple therapeutic programming Audible and visual alarms Leak detection to identify leaks immediately Continuous feedback for pressure accuracy, monitoring of pressure at wound site, and adjustment accordingly Alarm, patient, and therapy history. Continuous negative pressure ranging -25mmHg to -200mmHg Maintenance of minimum negative pressure levels between cycles, to help prevent leaks and fluid accumulation when negative pressure is not present at wound site. Approximately 7.5 lbs, with 500cc empty canister and no solution. Performance, therapy settings, and other salient characteristics that meet or exceed the 3M/KCI Ultdev01/US.P VAC Ulta with VeraFlo.

The Government may use the responses to this Sources Sought for information and planning purposes. This Sources Sought is only for the purpose of identifying potential sources as part of MRCO-W market research.
