Description

DESCRIPTION: The United States (U.S.) Army Contracting Command, Rock Island, (ACC-RI) on behalf of the Office of the Project Manager, Maneuver Ammunition Systems (OPM-MAS), is seeking to identify potential U.S./Canadian sources who are capable of manufacturing and delivering sixteen small caliber ammunition items or configurations consisting of 5.56mm, 7.62mm, and Caliber .50. The nomenclature for each item is listed below. These cartridges (ctgs) are identified by a unique Department of Defense Identification Code (DODIC) that describes the caliber, cartridge type, and the method of pack out. Each DODIC will reference a Distribution D/Controlled Unclassified Information FEDCON Technical Data Package (TDP) that defines dimensional, material, performance, and test requirements for each cartridge. Maximum yearly quantities for all DODICs within a caliber family of ammunition can be roughly broken out as follows: 65, 000, 000 of 5.56mm, 50, 000, 000 of 7.62mm, and 20, 000, 000 of Caliber .50 for each of the five years within the Fiscal Year (FY) 26-31 Period of Performance (PoP). Anticipated maximum contract PoP quantity is 675, 000, 000 cartridges for all families of ammunition in any DODIC combination.
