South Cambridgeshire District Council - Air Quality Continuous Monitoring Equipment Maintenance Services
It is a statutory requirement as a Local Authority to regularly review and assess air quality in our area under the Environment Act 1995. Local Air Quality Management (LAQM) is a statutory process by which we as a local authority monitor, assess and take action to improve local air quality (https://laqm.defra.gov.uk/).
South Cambridgeshire District Council (SCDC) is a rural district undergoing a significant growth. Future developments are to be largely residential and reliant on road-based transport for travel and commuting to the city, London and the surrounding area.
SCDC operates three automatic monitors all with Nitrogen Dioxide (NO2) and Particulate Matter (PM10 and PM2.5) monitoring equipment.
The details of the existing three Monitoring Stations are as follows;
• Site 1 - Impington A14 Site (accessed Via Woodhouse Farm Cambridge Road Impington Cambridgeshire CB3 9Nx)
