The University of Calgary (UCalgary) intends to award up to a 3-year service contract with an optional 2 x 1-year extension with Visual Scheduler Builder (VSB) for their Register Software.The Register Software offers features that have been outlined in the ACAN.Currently, Register is deeply entrenched within UCalgary-s Peoplesoft ERP system and students rely on the Register Software. Due to how entrenched this system is, it would not be practical to move on to another Student Scheduling Software. A new system would cause major disruption for all users, as well the implementation for a new system could take months to years. UCalgary also does not have any additional resources or time to implement a new system. A new system would also require training all users and migrating existing integrations into the new system. Due to the nature of how Register is integrated within the institution, there is currently no alternative system that can easily replace Register. UCalgary cannot implement a new system without disruption or requiring additional resources, it is UCalgary-s understanding that VBS-s Register is the only system that will meet UCalgary-s requirement and is the sole provider of this software.
