The overall objective of the Wash program of UNICEF is to ensure that "each child lives in a safe and clean environment". The UNICEF RCA 2023-2027 program will aim to increase sustainable and equitable access to drinking water and sanitation, and to put an end to the free defecation in rural and peri-urban areas, taking into account the specific needs of women and children, and more broadly by strengthening the resilience of vulnerable communities Faced with complex humanitarian situations due to conflicts, acute and chronic malnutrition, forced migration, epidemics and health emergencies, and natural disasters. This vision is a continuity of the vision of the WASH program articulated in the 2018 CPD- 2022 of the RCA.
