Notice Details Fredericton, the capital of the Province of New Brunswick, is located on the east coast of Canada along the banks of the Wolastoq | Saint John River. Fredericton has a growing population, stable economy, strong institutions, and offers a high quality of life for its citizens. It is expected that Fredericton will continue to attract people from elsewhere in Canada and around the world. As of 2023, Fredericton has an estimated population of 71, 000. The Fredericton Growth strategy and the Imagine Fredericton Municipal Plan indicated that by 2041, Fredericton's population is projected to increase to over 90, 000 residents.
The City of Fredericton's Water & Sewer Utility provides customers with clean, safe drinking water on demand. It treats thousands of litres of wastewater, ensuring the treatment of the wastewater exceeds national standards. Beginning in 2014, Fredericton began using a decorative manhole cover.
Proposals are being requested for a quantity of 200 sets of decorative frames and covers for delivery in 2025, 2026 and 2027.
