Tenders are invited for Supply of Brand New 02 Nos. Passenger Coach for Mattala Rajapaksa International Airport, Mattala
Bids should be made on the Documents obtainable from the official AASL Website or office of Division of Supply Chain Management, Airport & Aviation Services (Sri Lanka) (Private) Limited, Bandaranaike International Airport, Katunayake on payment of a nonrefundable Bidding Document Fee of Twelve Thousand & Five Hundred Sri Lankan Rupees (Rs. 12, 500.00) or Forty United States Dollars (USD 40). A photo copy of the official receipt obtained for payment of the non-refundable Bidding Document Fee should be attached to the Bid
Main engine/auxiliary engine should be a diesel driven
water/liquid cooled engine (Please specific make & model).
Power Steering and automatic transmission should be
provided.
Bus should be right hand drive.
The colour should be in WHITE
Number of Doors for passenger compartment should be 4 (two
automatic doors either side and can be separately operated)
The doors shall be sufficiently wide to accommodate at least
two passengers at a time. Door opening shall not be less than
1.1 m (43 in).
The height of the entrance doors step from the ground shall
not be exceeded 300 mm (12 in). There shall be no
intermediate steps.
Completely even floor should be anti-slip and without no step
or incline.
Door Locking System
Doors should be fitted with a central locking system
to be operated by the driver
Doors should be not open accidently while the vehicle
is moving or stationary due to a malfunction of
the operating system unless the emergency exit
system is activated.
Doors should be having a provision for manual
operating during an emergency from inside as well as
outside.
A warning alarm should be provided to indicate
before doors open & close.
A system should be provided to prevent bus from
being driven when any door is opened.
The unit should provide the capacity and space for 10
seating capacity and 50 standing passengers with
their baggage.
Total Length of the bus not exceeds 14m & width not exceed
3.2 m.
The interior shall be divided into two sections a driver-s cabin
and passenger section. The driver-s cabin shall be accessible
through a separate doors with assistant seat and shall be
separate from passenger section.
The exhaust system should be so designed that it will not
damage the tarmac surface.
Engine exhaust gas outlet should be located at a position to
avoid exhaust fumes getting to the main passenger
compartment.
Exhaust system should be equipped with a double exhaust
system on either side of the bus. This system should be
operated automatically (side selection of exhaust should be
opposite side of the doors opened).
An emergency safety hammers should be provided in
passenger compartment.
An emergency notifies system should be equipped in
passenger compartment. This can be push-button switch (at
least in two locations) which communicate to the driver in an
emergency by a light/sound.
A communication system to address passenger compartment
from driver cabin should be provided.
Interior upholstery fabric material and hood lining material
should be durable. Suitable for tropical climatic condition.
The seats panels other interior and exterior designs and
colours should be approved by AASL.
Passenger compartment electrical light fittings should be
strong high quality ones that could easily be maintained.
Provided separate lamp cover for each light.
Fix a heavy duty main switch to cut off main battery supply to
the engine in order to keep the live wires away from the fire
hazards. This main switch should be activated only while
starting the motor to carry out the main supply.
The main battery live wire and other live wires should be laid
in a duct made out of a suitable non-conductive material to
avoid a short circuit when the sharp opening edge of sheet duct
damage the wire harness due to vibration.
Both passenger and driver sections should be Air-conditioned
Air vents flow should be suitable for ambient temperature at
around 40 Celsius.
Temperature of the AC system and air flow should be
adjustable/control from driver-s compartment.
Bus should be made fully aluminum body & structure with
aluminum floor.
Sun visor for driver and all the glasses should be tinted with
transparent tinted material.
Should be in compliance with AHM910, 913, 915 &950
Consoles functions to be identified in English using
elementary concise terms and supplementary by graphical
symbols.
Reverse warning buzzer should be provided.
A roof mounted flashing amber beacon should be provided.
Rear view mirrors inside and outside the bus for the driver-s
view of passenger boarding/de-boarding the bus should be
provided.
General Specification
Brand new passenger coaches shall be acceptable to
transport passengers at the Airside of an airport.
All fittings shall comply to the international standards.
The emission standards shall confirm to the applicable
regulations in Sri Lanka.
Coaches shall be suitable for operating in humid and tropical
climates.
Three sets of operation maintenance, Illustrated parts
catalogue workshop and spare parts manuals (two hard
copies and one softcopy) in English language to be provided
free of charge.
Tool box with required tools jack and spare wheel to be
Removable/rechargeable type fire extinguishers for driver
compartment & passenger compartment to be provided free
of charge.
Guarantee for available of spares for minimum of 10 years
service maintenance.
Commissioning of unit at site and training of staff
(Technical/Operational) to be provided free of charge
commissioning of the unit should be handled by an engineer
of the manufacturing company.
