The United Nations Office at Nairobi (UNON), on behalf of UN- Habitat Zimbabwe invites qualified interested firms to submit Expression of Interest (EOI) to participate in the upcoming solicitation for Supply, installation and commissioning of Composting Equipment for the Project In Harare, Zimbabwe.Background: UN-Habitat is implementing a project in Zimbabwe: “Harare Sustainable City Initiatives: Promoting Carbon Neutral Urban Basic Services and Energy Efficient Built Environment” in Zimbabwe. The project aims at enhancing the overall well-being, health, and security conditions of Zimbabwe citizens through access to better urban basic services from sustainable solid waste management and the use of renewable energy systems; the project will also create systems for access to affordable carbon-neutral building materials. This will be achieved through improved municipal solid waste management operations, energy and resource recovery, clean energy generation and promotion of climate-responsive building material production.
