Tender Details

Expression of Interest are invited for Supply Irrigation Equipment Supply to support farmers in the West Bank and Gaza

1. Smart Irrigation/dripping systems
Manual/Semi Manual Modern Irrigation Systems: Traditional drip irrigation system but with advanced/modern/appropriate emitters or could include other more advanced ancillaries to improve decisions on input quantities and timing. This system will support small farmers with up to 5 dunums of land.
Fully Computerized Irrigation Systems (Smart Agriculture Systems): The proposed technologies/systems should have options for site-specific conditions and farmer-s knowledge and provide efficiency in irrigation (precision irrigation and precision fertilizer use). The proposed technology should be capable of optimizing inputs, in particular water and fertilizers/nutrients, and reduce energy use. Also, the system should be capable of irrigating plant roots (not the soil) precisely when needed, with precise amount of water and fertilizers. This system will support large farmers of more than 20 Dunums.
Hydroponic System: Soilless/or isolated soil farming system mostly in a greenhouse with plants growing in rows of nutrient-rich water-filled channels, and with a system for recirculating the water and nutrients. This system will support small farmers owning 1-2 Dunums.
Aquaponic System: Combines aquaculture (raising fish) with hydroponics, the aquaponic is a setup with fish tanks connected to hydroponic plant beds. Fish waste is used as a nutrient source for plants. The waste produced by the fish provides an organic nutrient source for the plants, and the plants help filter and purify the water, which is then recirculated back to the fish tanks; an aquaponic system in a greenhouse. This will support farmers with 1-10 Dunums.
2. Electromagnetic Ionizer
Used to treat saline water The electromagnetic ionizer for agriculture will have a water pipe with magnetic field, treating saline water flowing through the pipe, it should include indicators or displays on the device that illustrate the ionization process and its effect on improving the water quality. This intervention will be connected with Ground Water Well (GWW).
3. Solar Power Photovoltaic System
Generates renewable energy from the sun/ light, which can be used to power irrigation systems. The solar power photovoltaic system on a farm will be connected to an irrigation water source, powering it with solar energy through an inverter, demonstrating a sustainable and self-sufficient energy solution for farming operations. The capacities of these off-grid solar systems ranged from 0.3 Kwh to 30 Kwh.
4. Plastic Lining for Balancing Irrigation Ponds
Plastic lining on a farm used for storing and balancing irrigation water, along with equipment for efficient water storage and quality management in agriculture. Balancing ponds, sand filtration, and low-flow emitters to manage water resources effectively, ensuring that every drop of water is used efficiently and sustainably.
5. Reverse Osmosis (RO) System
A solar powered water purification technology that removes contaminants from water by using pressure to force water molecules through a semipermeable membrane.
