NAVIGATIONAL LANTERN, YELLOW, DIA. 140 MM
The lantern shall be designed and constructed to give minimum five years light with out
service and
can survive in submerged sea water . the lantern shall be mounted with minimum 6 solar
panels in an angle not less than 10 degrees and greater than 20 degrees vertical towards
sky . the lantern light shall be temperature compensated to keep the intensity constant and
shall be capable of fixing a GPS module inside the lantern housing to transmit the
information by radio link and also able to synchronize the flash without cable or
additional radio link and shall have the following specifications;
Range: 4 NM(minimum)
Color: Yellow
Lifespan of LED: 100, 00 hours approx
Temperature Range: -40 Deg C + 60 Deg C approx
Lantern base: Marine grade aluminum or equivalent polycarbonate plastic h
Mounting: 3, 4 and 5 bolting pattern(approx.200mm dia. bolt circle)
Standards: IALA approval or equivalent

The lantern shall be self contained and compact and shall be utilized for security buoys
and shall be complete
with high intensity light emitting diodes (LEDs), acrylic lens, solar modules and
compatible maintenance free
battery and shall be housed in a tough watertight enclosure moulded from polycarbonate
plastic or equivalent
marine material.
