Design and Implementation of Projects under Result 2 of the Biodiversity Support Programme in ACP Coastal Environments (BioSPACE) Project

The OECS Commission, in facilitating the fulfilling of its mandate - enhancing environmental sustainability and strengthening regional integration, is collaborating with the European Union and eligible OECS Member States, to implement key international and national development agenda in the areas of Biodiversity and Ecosystems Management, Climate Change and Disaster Resilience, Land and Water Resources Development, Oceans Governance and Fisheries, Sustainable Energy, and Pollution and Waste Management. The Support Programme for ACP Small Island Developing States and Coastal Countries also referred to as the Biodiversity Support Programme in ACP Coastal Environments (BioSPACE) was developed to contribute to the sustainable development of ACP Small Island Developing States (SIDS) and coastal countries, while at the same time supporting efforts towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The programme aims to contribute to the implementation of the SAMOA Pathway, the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs), particularly SDGs 14 and 15 and secondary SDGs 4, 5, 6, 7 and 13 and support the advancement of the St. George-s Declaration of Principles for Environmental Sustainability in the OECS (SGD2040) and the OECS Development Strategy for the Environment (ODSe).
