Creation of an overall structural concept (feasibility) for a new thermal waste treatment plant at the north location of the Munich municipal utility as a replacement for an existing system on the site that is reaching its technical and economic end of life. The new thermale Waste treatment is to be carried out on an area currently used for operational purposes on the existing site.
The plant should have an incineration capacity of approx. 420, 000 t per year and include the following essential plant components: Waste and slag bunker with the requiredConveyor technology, furnace with grate and steam generator, extraction condensation turbine with generator and energy dissipation, flue gas cleaning system with chimney, flue gas condensation including heat pumps, the electrical and control technology required for the system components and a central control room.
The main focus of the structural engineering concept is on the cubature of the building envelope, the integration of the process engineering systems into the building, the static and fire protection assessment, as well as the establishment of the building law requirements for a building that can be approved.
