The chopper system is used to create a pulsed neutron beam from the continuous beam on the instruments Icon, Neutra and Boa to carry out wave length-resolved neutron image measurements based on the flight time method (TOF). For this purpose, the chopper system is used in combination with a detector system that is not part of this tender. The chopper system is not firmly installed in an instrument, but is installed and expanded into the desired instrument in accordance with the experimental measurement program.
