The TAAT Rice Technology Transfer Officer will support the TAAT Rice Compact in managing and carrying out technical activities and tasks to support project implementation at the level of the Compact and the countries of TAAT operations. The duties and responsibilities of the TAAT Technology Transfer Officer will include the following: contribute to profiling AfricaRice TAAT innovations, develop innovation packages and assess their readiness to scale; contribute to the establishment and facilitation of functional Multi-Stakeholder Innovation Platforms (MSIPs) in the rice sector development hubs in the TAAT II and TSF countries; through the MSIPs, mobilize rice value chain actors – millers, processors, paddy aggregators, input dealers, Small and Medium Enterprises, fabricators of farm machinery, tools and processing and value adding equipment, micro-finance/banks, research, extension/NGOs, transporters, and policy makers, etc., for the out-scaling of rice technologies and innovations in the rice hubs; collaborate with the Africa-wide Rice Task Forces (TFs) on breeding, agronomy, mechanization, processing and value addition, policy including market access and gender in rice sector dev...
