Synopsis of Proposed Contract ActionDescriptionThe Bureau of Reclamation, Columbia-Pacific Northwest Region, Columbia-Cascades Area Office has a need for construction services for Grand Coulee Dam Left and Right Power Plants Tailrace Semi Gantry Crane Replacement, Columbia Basin Project, Washington. Work is located at Left and Right Powerplants, Grand Coulee Dam complex near the city of Coulee Dam, in Grant County, Washington. The Left Powerplant (LPP) is located in Grant County. The Right Powerplant (RPP) is located in Okanogan County, which is also within the Colville Confederated Tribe's Tribal Lands. Principal components of work include removing and disposing of existing Tailrace Semigantry crane and furnishing and installing a new crane in the Left and Right Powerplants. Work includes designing and building principal components and repairs to existing corbels and repair/replacement of upper runway rails. Replacement of electric controls and components.Estimated Principal Components of work to be performed includes the following: • LPP and RPP Cyclops Semigantry Crane replacement. • Electrical supply to the power disconnect switch. • The upper runway rail and corbel will be removed and replaced for water drainage. • Customized new semigantry crane will be designed to fit the as-built dimensions of the repaired/replaced runway rails. • Crane controls will be replaced with pendant controls, • Asbestos and hazardous materials abatement. • Fabrication. • Commissioning. • Perform load tests and provide operation and maintenance training.The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code associated with this project is 237990 Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction.
