The Support for Energy Transition in Benin program is a sectoral budget support program for the benefit of the Government of the Republic of Benin. The main objective of this program is to accelerate the energy transition in Benin, including the reduction of greenhouse gases (GHG)assessed by the Nationally Determined Contribution (NDC).
Complementary support for this program provides for a market for accompanying technical assistance services in order to achieve the specific objectives, namely: sectoral reform, operationalizationregulatory provisions and sectoral governance in favor of equal access to efficient, sustainable energy,
•Increase the participation of the private sector in the financing of investments for equal access to efficient, sustainable and modern energy, promoting energy efficiencylogistics and job creation, particularly for young people and women.
•Increase equal access for the entire population to electricity, particularly from renewable sources and improved and inclusive technical solutions.
•Increase energy efficiency throughoutng of the energy cycle (production, transport, distribution and consumption).
The energy sector is at the center of this technical assistance which should facilitate the implementation of the program through support to the various actors for the achievement of these objectives, to increase the capacities...
