Request for Proposal No. 2025-029
For: Technology for Waste Cart Serialization
The Owner is requesting Proposals for the provision of an information technology system (including hardware to be installed on curbside waste collection vehicles, and supplemental software integration) for the purpose of identifying and reporting automated collection carts by serial number/barcode as well as their specific location by address. Additionally, this identification and reporting would be able to determine the frequency of organics participation at each address over time.
The intent is to start with a pilot project on four trucks for a period of approximately 6-12 months with the potential for full roll out to approximately 60 trucks with approval by Simcoe County Council based on the results of the pilot.
