Since 2002, the ship has been owned by the private law Hamburg Maritim Foundation, which preserves the maritime heritage of the Free and Hanseatic City of Hamburg. Since 2016, the ship has been the last to be restored, largely in its original conditionRepresentative of an important era in sea piloting, it is entered in the Hamburg list of movable cultural monuments.
