On the basis of §§ 37, 48 SektVO, Stromnetz Berlin GmbH has announced the establishment of a qualification system for the manufacture, delivery, installation and commissioning of air-insulated 10 kV switchgear in 110/10 kV substations and applicants to submit an application to participates called. The customer and contracting authority is Stromnetz Berlin GmbH.

After examining an interested company's application for admission to the qualification system and (positive) determination of the qualification, the company will be included in the relevant qualification directory ("List ofqualified suppliers"). All orders that fall under the qualification system above the EU thresholds are advertised by means of a restricted procedure or a negotiated procedure among the companies listed in the relevant qualification directory.Furthermore, it is intended to only use 10 kV switchgear in future projects for the construction and conversion of substations by Stromnetz Berlin GmbH that have previously been qualified in the procedure of this testing system.
