The Upgrade Of Lighting, Distribution Boards, Fire Alarm, Nurse Call And Wifi System At Alexandra Way Residential Care Home, Thornbury, South Gloucestershire

The Council is seeking a NICEIC Approved Electrical Contractor to act as the Principal Contractor with the capability and experience to manage specialist sub-contractors to undertake and execute the following contract works:



i. Replacement of the existing normal lighting with new LED lighting except those in bedrooms and lounges.

ii. Replacement of the emergency lighting with new LED emergency lighting.

iii. Replacement of existing main panel board and distribution boards with integral residual current protection and arc fault detection device protections to all final circuits with socket outlets.

iv. Replacement and modification of the existing fire alarm system to assure the entire fire alarm system in compliance with up-to-date regulations.

v. Replacement of the nurse call system throughout the building.

vi. Installation of infrastructure for new WiFi system.

vii. Other miscellaneous such as relocation of the existing uninterrupted power supply and upgrade of the existing automatic transfer switch etc.



The Council will not consent to the whole of the works to be sub-contracted. It is essential that this project is successfully executed within 10 weeks whilst only one of the wings will be available to completely shunt down for carrying out the works and the others will be operated ...
