Pricing and Payment Terms are available on the MERx website.DESCRIPTION OF PROCUREMENTThe University is conducting an RFP for a Thermal Analysis-Mass Spectrometer System, which will be used in a research laboratory focused on high temperature materials processes. The lab supports research primarily related to the mining and metals industries and to investigate such processes as melting and phase transformation, decomposition, sintering, calcination, roasting, and gas-solid/liquid reactions. The samples tested will be subjected to various gases including CO, H2, CO2, O2, Ar, N2, H2S, and SO2. The concentration of the gases and their flowrate for safety and health reasons are controlled outside the system by the user, using a combination of flow controllers, gas sensors/monitors, and ventilation systems.
