This project is part of the continuous improvement of railway infrastructure, aimed at meeting the growing needs of passengers and guaranteeing quality services. The current context highlights accessibility, capacity and intermodality challenges at Mertert rail stop on line 3 Luxembourg-Wasserbillig-Frontière. The existing judgment presents limits in terms of quay length, accessibility for people with reduced mobility (PMR) and multimodal links with other modes of transport. The displacement of the Mertert stop will also contribute to increase The attractiveness of the new craft zoning which will be developed by a third party in collaboration with the municipality, thus facilitating the movements of future workers thanks to better accessibility to rail transport The main objective of this project is to move and rebuild the railway stop Mertert to solve the problems identified.
