BACKGROUND:

The Albuquerque Area Indian Health Service (AAIHS), Santa Fe Indian Health Center (SFIHC) and Outlying Clinics - Cochiti San Felipe and Santa Clara Health Clinics has a requirement for Three (3) Medical Support Staff.

PURPOSE/STATEMENT OF WORK:

The Contractor shall provide Three (3) Medical Support Staff will provide a variety of tasks:

Answer phone calls in professional manner, and address any queries patients may have. Provide excellent customer service, and greeting patient/ visitors in professional and friendly manner. Check Patients in for scheduled appointments, and help with the scheduling of patient appointments. Collect and update patient information for billing and payment purposes. Act as a liaison between providers, patients and visitors. Collaborate with doctors and nurses to help with medical examinations, schedule tests and order supplies. The incumbent, identifies, locates, delivers, retrieves and refiles medical records required for clinical and administrative purposes. Analyzing health records for accuracy, completeness, timeliness, consistency and compliance (e.g. use of correct titles, linked to correct encounters, etc.) according to HIM policies and procedures. Uses the RPMS/Vista Imaging function to scan records into the EHR. Assure that medical records are complete and that all documentation is present with appropriate documents and signatures. Review medical records for any missing documents, signatures, information and notify providers of the deficiency. Receives and/or gives out Release of Information (ROI) forms, assists visitors and/or callers with the completion of forms or documents. Inquiries vary widely, and information given requires explanation of office functions, describing specific requirements, providing basic instructions, or a similar degree of detail.
