SUPPLY AND DELIVERY OF VARIOUS

FIRE SAFETY REQUIREMENTS

I. BACKGROUND

Per Ordinance No. 8635 dated April 27, 2020 of the City Council of Manila, the Universidad de Manila (UdM) was granted its fiscal autonomy and shall be treated as an independent and institutional department of the City of Manila wherein the management of fiscal, human resources, and all other assets shall be within its control.

The Bureau of Fire Protection issued a Notice to Comply relative to our application for the issuance of Fire Safety Certificate for the Henry Sy Sr. Campus Building. In line with this, the University shall comply with all the safety requirements set forth in the said notice; hence, purchase of the various requirements (i.e., emergency lights, portable fire extinguishers, self-closing device and illuminated fire exit signs) is crucial.
