This is a synopsis of proposed contract action. This is not a solicitation or invitation for offerors to submit bids. This notice will be posted for a minimum of 15 days prior to posting of the solicitation.



The federal bureau of prisons (fbop) anticipates issuance of solicitation 15b41919b00000001 for the award of a firm-fixed-price construction contract for a project entitled training center interior build out at the administrative united states penitentiary (ausp thomson), located in thomson, illinois.



Ausp thomson is a federal correctional facility located at 1100 one mile road thomson, illinois 61285. The project consists of furnishing all equipment, materials and labor for the complete construction of the work. The following brief synopsis should not be considered all inclusive of work required to complete the project. Ausp thomson has a requirement to complete the interior of the staff training center. The shell (building) exterior shell is 61'-2"x 125'-5" at 7450 sq. Ft. Walls shall be constructed to create a multi-purpose room, (2) offices, (3) storage rooms, janitor room, electrical room, mechanical room, kitchenette, (2) locker rooms, (2) restrooms, (2) shower areas, and an exercise room. Plumbing, electrical, hvac, shall be roughed in and then finished with the proper fixtures per plan. The performance period for the project will be 98 calendar days from issuance of the notice to proceed.



The naics code for this requirement is 236220 with a corresponding small business size standard of $36.5 million.
