Description : ADVERTISEMENT FOR ExECUTIVE ARCHITECTUCLA requests a written response to this Request for Qualifications (RFQ) to select an Executive Architect for the proposed Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine (DLAM) Automation Tunnel Washer Replacement (Project # 907528.01) located in the Cagewash Automation Room B52, a 1, 751 gsf area within the Biomedical Sciences Research Building (BSRB). The project site is located on the UCLA Campus at 615 Charles E. Young Drive, South, Los Angeles, CA 90095. The BSRB is comprised of two buildings that create a unique center, allowing UCLA and Orthopedic Hospital researchers to expand the frontiers of orthopedic medicine, microbiology, immunology, transplantation, AIDS research, embryonic stem cell research, molecular, cell, developmental biology, and biological chemistry. The BSRB was completed in 2007 and designed by Pelli Clark Pelli Architects to foster a collaborative research environment and include state-of-the-art technologies to maximize research exploration.BSRB is home to the Division of Laboratory Animal Medicine's (DLAM) Breeding Colony Management program, which houses approximately 7, 800 cages of mice, many of which are bred for UCLA researchers. This program has been in operation for over 15 years and is an essential DLAM service in supplying mice to researchers.
