The Department inspects and examines sea cargo, in shipping containers, at dedicated facilities throughout Australia. These facilities assist the Department to detect prohibited goods entering the country.The examination is conducted by the Australian Border Force (ABF), the Department-s operational arm, with support from the supplier who will provide an Unpack Repack Managed Service at facilities located in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Fremantle, Adelaide, Darwin and Townsville and any other sites specified by the Department from time to time.
